November 23, 2023 - Do Whatcha Do is one of the songs from Jane Child's album Here Not There (1993), an album of songs that I find to be highly obscure, well, not highly obscure, but just obscure. I digress, so let's get back to focusing on Do Whatcha Do. I've been a fan of this song since I was discovering more of Jane Child's music during my eighth-grade year, since I was still in love with her hit song Don't Wanna Fall in Love, her only major hit song. Do Whatcha Do is really a great example of a song that is well done, despite its obscurity. The choice of instruments, the whole lyrical concept, and the trademark vocals of Jane Child herself are the things that I am fascinated by. I know it has been four years after discovering this song in intent to find more Jane Child music to add to my music library, but since I still listen to this song around the time I am writing this, this really shows that some songs are just so extraordinary to the point in which you will never get bored of it, at least for me, and I'm sure this applies for everyone else, as well. Please listen to this amazing song because I highly reccommend it to those who had enjoyed listening to her major hit Don't Wanna Fall in Love and to those who are looking for a song to listen to and love.
